Revised and revitalised for 2009, the Legend Pro Rider ski is built for the dedicated freeride expert, or even Pro rider. Firmer, smoother and more invigorating than the previous somewhat soporific model. The float is increased with the addition of an extra 3 mm underfoot, the lengths – there are 3 models available – are a touch shorter and whilst it may seem more manageable I think the overall effect is producing a large freeride ski that remains dynamic.
Certainly a ski for the most proficient of skiers, the radius is 21 m +, so if you love a GS ski then you’ll enjoy the Pro Rider in the deep and tough, advanced skiers need not apply. Solid wood-core and sidewall construction keeps ’em beefy and easy to repair so durability shouldn’t be an issue. A firm ride and understated image, which you may like and I can take or leave – but as a ski they are feisty beasts.
