Full Tilt Bumble Bee Ski boots

Full Tilt Bumble Bee Ski boots

Full Tilt’s Bumble Bee replaces Raichle’s legendary Flexon Comp ski boot. Renowned for their progressive flex the BB’s give you a great range of ankle movement and will really help many skiers conquer bumps and off-piste skiing. A women’s model, the FT Lady, is also available. Both replicate the original 3-piece Swiss design and tolerance of a wide-variety of foot shapes.

New features include FT’s own full heat-mouldable liner with a wrap-around design and shock absorbing rubber boot-boards (the layer supporting your feet underneath your liner) for improved comfort on landings and warmth.

Definitely worth a try!

The manufacturer says this about the Full Tilt Bumble Bee Ski boots:

A medium-narrow fit.

Intuition liner – heat-moulds for a fully customised fit.

Rubber boot-boards.

Cable buckles – adjustability and progressive flex.

Full Tilt tongue – perhaps the most progressive flex in skiing.

  1. I have some Flexon Comps from 1989 (and am still ski-ing in them). Very comfortable and so versatile that they have accommodated me from beginner to advanced. They have something of a cult following. Had a Swiss ski instructor in Mammoth who tesed skis for Volkl and had only moved on from the Raichle boots because of spare part problems.

  2. My wife (bless her!) gave me a pair of FT bumblebees for Christmas, fantastic boots, I love them (and her also!). Comfortable, easy on and off compared to any other boot, warm and great feeling of control and precision when carving. And the flex!
Amazing the number of people who ask about them, the Raichle’s must have had a huge following.

  3. What a shame that this new company has spent so much time and money to re-launch the Reichle Flexon Comps ski boot but failed to address one of the major problem with the boot, that is the narrowness of the shell.

  4. Huh? That might be why nobody with a wider foot likes these. So if they made the shell wider then nobody with narrow feet would like it.
